Before college was apart of my life writing was simply placed on the back burner and was done out of necessity and nothing more. As the semesters slowly but surely rolled by I started to notice a subtle change in my attitude towards writing in general. It was a feeling just short of passion but more than necessity. I felt my ability to communicate was enhanced and much more sufficient than the simple words I muttered.
Writing is now something I take pride in. It is that medial therapy that allows me to grasp the forever spinning world around me. It allows me to inform, to express, to deliver, and to record the many moments of life. I think Ernest Hemingway had it right when he said, “There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”
